O! And we met Jeff Koinange on our way out of the Gospel Garage session--- What a guy!? What a day?!  It was "aaaaall Kenya, aaaaaall the time!"

Show Me the Way

Shem has also been back in the booth with Carena at 3000 Music!  He recently dropped his new hit single, Show Me the Way, at

 Check out the audio HERE!!!

Gospel Garage

Earlier this year after the release of both Wape Habari and King's Mic, Shem was featured on Gospel Garage with Sk Blu.  Shem, along with co-guest, Gloria Muliro, tackled the controversial subject- whether the world and church are getting used to 'God' and starting to become casual in how we see Him.  Although Shem is a Gospel rapper and singer... He is also a great preacher which he showed as he seriously laid down the Gospel message on Gospel Garage!!!

Shem on Crossover 101

27th May 2012
Shem was invited for an interview on NTV's Crossover 101.  The theme that Sunday was "Purpose." Shem shared about his calling as a Gospel artiste and lawyer, showing that you can be a light for Christ no matter where you are placed.

Nancy and DJ Sadic asked hard hitting questions and allowed Shem to share his heart with the viewers.  Nancy stated that Shem has stood out in the Gospel industry because he does not water down the message of Christ.  (Praise God)  Shem took that opportunity to encourage other artists to use the platform God has given them for God's glory.

That Sunday, Sadic played many Wernono songs including Shem's latest singles: King's Mic and Wape Habari.

We thank God for the opportunity to speak to the nation on His behalf.  We pray that people are encouraged and changed by what God has and is doing through Shem.

We also thank NTV Crossover 101 for the platform and pray that God would continue to bless them in their efforts to bring Christ to the world!

King's Mic - Beat of the Week on NTV's "The Beat"

The video for King's was selected as The Beat of the Week on NTV's award winning show, "The Beat" on 14th May, 2012. As the Beat of the Week, the King's Mic video was played on that show everyday that week. My team and I thank God for the favour he is showing my ministry efforts and are excited to see what more He has in store as we follow him daily.

To all my fellow Gospel Artistes out there- we pray that the thing that separates your music from that of the world is truly the LYRICS... the MESSAGE... the SPIRIT!!!!  Do not let the Gospel be watered down in order to be "popular" or "relevant."  You have been given a platform to glorify God... you are a vessel of His mission on earth-- don't waste it!

Christ Powered Radio Interview

CPR:  Tell us, who is Shem?
SHEM:  Shem is a young man who loves the Lord and is just tryna live one day at a time for Jesus. I am a lawyer and a missionary minded rapper… I would like to see guys come to know Jesus and be transformed by Him.

CPR:  Spreading the message of the cross, what drives you and how do you prepare yourself to represent it accurately?
SHEM:  My love for God is what spurs me on to do what I do. When we love God and choose to obey Him I find that He places in us the passion that He has to see guys come to know Him and be saved. Love for God and the love for others that He has placed in me is what makes me keep doing what I do
In terms of preparation to represent Christ, I have always felt that it’s vital to be well acquainted with the scriptures. It’s just like Flame says in His jam “Move” on his 5th album “Captured” (which I think is a classic by the way) he says “…get into the Word of God and get the Word of God in you…” and this in my perspective has a scriptural basis in 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 which goes like
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Yeah, so for me getting in the Word is how I get “thoroughly equipped” and prepared to represent the cross accurately. Effective and fervent prayer is also key cause in the words of James… “It avails much”.

CPR:  Marriage, the picture of Christ and the Church on earth, hehehe are you seeing someone?
SHEM:  Yep, I have a girlfriend. She’s very supportive in ministry and a great blessing to me. Marriage is a great thing and when the appointed time comes, Lord willing, watu watakula mchele… hehehe

CPR:  If you had the chance, what one thing would you change in the Kenyan Gospel scene as it is?
SHEM:  Sometimes I feel that we are not passionate about Christ’s mandate to preach the message of the cross as we are about other things. I’m not saying every artist is like this but the stuff we see in the media is not at all encouraging. My prayer is that God will rekindle the fire in our hearts for our entire ministry and service above all other destructing factors

Radio Station Tour

Shem has been blessed with the opportunity to Give the Good News of Jesus Christ and promote his song "Wape Habari" on various radio stations over the past few weeks.

We started off on the Gospel Show for Ghetto Radio 89.5FM with Esther Kagamba and DJ Prince. Shem shared about the new Wernono Album that will, God willing, be released April 2012.

He was also asked about his plans for a future solo album to which he replied that he cannot put a date on it, but pray with him, that God would make that a possibility!

We then made our way Trinity Connect on Homeboyz Radio 91.5 with Allan T, DJ GG and DJ Sanch.

Shem's new single, "Wape Habari" hit the countdown at #5
that week!
Thank you for your support!

The next stop on the tour was Hope FM with DJ Nevz!  They played a whole set of Shem and Wernono music!

The theme that night was purity in relationships and God used Shem to speak and pray for all of us to know who we are in Christ and continue in purity before Him.

The final stop was on Mwamba, Homeboyz Sunday Morning Gospel Show, with Jay Njoroge and DJ Touch.  It was the Valentine's Edition.  Shem was able to share the Word of Christ and also about the love of Christ.  His girlfriend, Kelly, was also asked to contribute in the conversation.  Continue to keep them in prayers.

The Radio Tour was a blessing in so many ways.  We pray that it allowed Nairobi to hear the Word of the Lord through talk and through Shem's new single, "Wape Habari."  We also pray that the friendships formed will continue to grow strong in Jesus name!  Furthermore, we pray that the Lord would continue to do a good work in His ministries with Shem and all the DJs and presenters!

May the people who heard not only be hearers of His Word, but also doers!  Amen!
